Default Remote starter switches

Lately I have been have intermittent starting problems-no sound or clicking when start button is pressed. I'll give it a few more tries 5 or 6, then it will start up. I believe it's the wiring. I just purchased a remote push-button starter switches which mounts on the end of the solenoid for emergency start-up. My question is how common is this device put on a bike? Are there other riders out there that have one?

Thanks for the response

That looks pretty good in case of a starter switch failure.

Remote starter switches mount on the end of the solenoid on all 1991-2007 models equipped with stock starters or 1.2/1.4 kilowatt aftermarket starters (except Compu-FireÂŽ). The push-button switch allows the starter to engage and operate directly from the solenoid. Available in chrome or black. Installs in minutes by reusing your OEM screws.
