Default Oil light

My headlight went out.So I took it apart and changed the bulb.Nothing.It still wouldn't work.SO I took the entire light can off.Well in doing this I must have done something to the indicater lights.Because now the oil pressure light is on.I took it to the dealer and they fixed the light.(it was the fuse). That never crossed my mind[:@].But like I said after putting the entire light housing back together, and all the wires that are in the damn light, the oil light is on.When at the dealer they tried to get the light to go off. They couldn't get it to go off. They said it was pumping oil. I rode it home and it was fine except the oil light being on.I guess I'm going to have to disasemble it again and check the light.Has this happened to anyone before? Any help would be great.

Make sure your connectors are nice n tight and you don't have any bare or burnt wires. Even the slightest nick will cause a short if exposed just right for even a second.

Sounds like some kind of short to me as well. Fuses just "usualy" don't pop unless something is wrong. I would go over all the wiring and like 6o66er said, make sure they didn't vibrate threw the coating and cause a short somewhere.

Try pulling the wire off of the oil pressure sensor switch and start the bike. If the oil light goes out then your sensor switch is bad. If not you have a short between the sensor and the indicator light.
