Couldn't quite see it well enough to see what he did wrong? In the middle of an"S" curve, it looks like he leaned it over too fast while trail braking too hard? Dunno...I'm not a racer. He definitely got some serious air time, though. And getting out of that with just a broken ankle? That's why those guys gear up like they do.
I am not sure what happened there either. It is hard to tell. He flicked it left and it looked like the back end was coming around on him and then it high sided.
I am not a racer either, but I love watching MotoGP and the SuperBike series.
Check out this video of the same rider. In this one he does an incredible save:
He likes to go into corners hot, doesn't he? That second vid of the save looks like he was trail braking just a little hard as the bike was drifting outside a little too much. Then as the rear started sliding out from him he reduced brake and let off the throttle. As hestarted wobbling his foot came completely off the brake. Slowing down helped keep him on the bike, but that was a very impressive display of staying with it!
So as he was going around that curve in just before that excellent save, the announcer made a comment that "this might be a problem for Lorenzo".....what was that referring to, exactly?
