I've had my 2006 1200C up to 75-80 many times with a crosswind and felt stable as a rock. The only thing that bothered me was my helmet pulling on the chin strap.

My worst was when I was racing some rice burner and I backed off at about 110 (bike felt about topped out) and decided to sit up. Whoah, my body was like a parachute damn near ripping me from the drag bars. Haven't been that fast on a bike since. Lost my freakin' wallet out of a side pocket then too.

Well, I'm not really that crazy. I rode it for 20 miles at reasonable speed to make sure there really wasn't a problem with the scoot. She just got off a Honda 750 Shadow and stepped up to the Harley so she had no frame of reference to make a judgement on the HD perdormance.
