883 performance

Just got back from Baraboo/Dells area.Another HOG deal.No biggie, 165 miles each way.Took about 3.5 hours.Lots of flooded roads.Got a pin and t shirt.Anyways,I usually see a question or 2 about the 883's performance.At 17k miles,this baby just feels broke in.Cruising at 70 is effortless,with jaunts of 80-90 no problem.Best mileage,is keep it at 60-65. &nbsp\\; &nbsp\\; &nbsp\\;[sm=biker2.gif]

I was hitting 80 too often,couldn't believe I got 53 mpg on the way home.I can get that around town,if I cool it.Best on a cruise so far has been 57 mpg.Last year going to Danville.

My 1200 Low EFI has gotten a low of 36 and a high of 53, at a steady 70mph.&nbsp\\;The 883 gets MUCH better mileage. And it's a fun bike to ride, yes?[8D]
