I know that tachometers are a controversial issue here, but just wanted to ask the following question.
 \\;
I am wondering how many people installed a tach on their Nightster, and if they used the dual kit in the Harley catalog. \\; It does not list it as compatable with the Nightster, but I am sure that I have seen a Nightster on the Forum with the exact Tach. \\; My Dad has it installed on his 883 Low and it looks like it would not be an issue.
 \\;
Thanks!

you can hook a tach up to any bike its monitoring the engine so they are always compatible. the only thing is you might have to figure out how to wire it yourself as opposed to being layed out in a manual. but with forum help and a service manual im sure it wouldn't be a problem. looking the the kit on the roadster?
A couple of guys on the forum have tachs on their Nightsters. Below are some pics of one them.
I was thinking of doing the same before I took delivery of my demon but the service lady, who knew her s**t talked me out of it - glad she did. She also talked me into vivid black so she is all good in my book! [sm=kissykissy.gif]
I found that I really didn't need it and I prefer the stripped down look on my Nightster. But of you go the route of FIA289Cobra, it looks pretty well integrated.
