Pretty good chance the frame is at least a little twisted looking at those forks...Theres a lot keeping the frame from actually crushing inward but as far as twisting of that head tube area, there isnt much support.&nbsp\\; What I'd do is use the bike as a donor and swap everything onto a rigid frame.

i would find a set of forks that fit and get it rolling, and ride it to test it, youll know if it doesnt feel right. i wouldnt go about trying to straighten a bent frame, its to vital a part to just bend back into shape.&nbsp\\;

Take the bike to someone who knows how to fix and inspect it. GMD computrack is a good place to start. They can shoot your bike and tell you. These people (franchise) do it for a living and know what they are doing or they do not have the opportunity to apply for a franchise. If you want a bike to just look good you can just take a torch and do it by eye. If you want a bike to be correct than take it to someone who knows what they are doing. As far as a Sporty with a ridged and a DNA front end ~ I will not comment. If you need help call toll free.&nbsp\\;

Gut it, you'd spend almost as much figuring out if the frame is bent and then fixing it as you would buying a new frame!

That'll buff out.
&nbsp\\;
I'd guess that the frame was probably OK.&nbsp\\; Look at it real close, then budget the purchase like you'd have to replace the frame anyway and you'll come out OK.&nbsp\\; By the time you add new tin, paint, front end, lights, turn signals, labor, aluminum/chrome, you're talking some money.&nbsp\\; That's why they total them out.&nbsp\\; I'd say that was a $1K bike, no more.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
Back in the day, those fork tubes would be straightend in a press, put back together with no front fender and the thing would be back on the road.
