Buy the 883 and if you think you need more power do the 1200 kit. Harley will want around $1,200 just for the kit, but if you shop around you can find them much cheaper. Converting \\;the 883 to a \\;1200, you'll be able to juice any factory 1200.
The 883 seems to be the better deal in the long run......Mods and what not seem to come pretty quick.

This is my 883 that is putting 80 HP to the rear before. Making  \\;T/S mods, bar backs and a few other things....Oh ya and a new rear tire at $230.00 but I guess it says Harley and Dunlop so it has to be worth it.

I know it's unpopular, but I agree with this guy. \\; You'll enjoy your bike more if you can afford it. \\; Just save up for a few months. \\; I promise you that other good prices will show up, especially if you're looking to buy at the end of the summer.
