1200R No lights problem
 \\; I have a 2008 1200 roadster with 2000 mi on it. \\; \\; There is a single fuse for the lights,
\\; which has blown six times. \\; The bike starts and runs but I have no lights.
\\; The first time was at about 260 mi. I put the spare in and every thing appeared to be fine.
\\; The second time was at about 1300 mi. \\; I stopped on the road and put a spare in and it
\\; blew when I turned the key on. \\; I took it to dealer and They could not find any thing
\\; wrong. \\; About 300 mi later, the fuse blew as soon as I hit the starter. I replaced \\;the
\\; fuse and I had lights. At about 2000 mi \\;two fuses \\;back to back blew as soon as I hit
\\; the starter. \\; I rode it straight to the dealer \\; and they have not fixed it yet. \\; The
\\; fuel pump and fuel pump light do work. \\; \\; \\;I do appreciate the problem the dealer has, as
\\; it is hard to fix some thing that appears not to be broken most of the time, so I thought
\\; I would ask if anybody on the forum might suggest how to fix the problem.
 \\; Thanks in advance.

then follow the light wires from your ignition switch and look them over as well.
i want to say your voltage regulator or something is blowing out your lights, maybe you can have a indy test it and see if everything is within specs.
