Default electrical causing back fires ??

&nbsp\\;got a misfire in rear cylinder&nbsp\\; and occasional back fire out tail pipe,
was wondering ,&nbsp\\; is it possible that it's being caused by low battery voltage / bad alternator ?
missfire seems to be happening at any speed ... 1990 883 hugger.

Default RE: electrical causing back fires ??

If it was low voltage I dont think it would do it only on the rear cylinder, check the voltage it should be about 14.5 volts a little above idle. Otherwise install new plugs, check the wire for arcing, other than that it could be a bad coil or vacumme leak on rear intake, test that with WD 40 sprayed around the intake while engine is idleing.
