I see there is someone selling powder coated air cleaner covers for the nightster \\;\\\\\\;on e bay painted black and they are going for over 100 bucks, I am thinking of painting mine black but am holding off as i dont want to wreck it.. thinking of high heat spray bomb in flat black, any other suggestions?
You can buy a black air cleaner off an 883 for half that price. Or get a color matched AC for half the price.
Go to the HD website and look under the section for color-matched accessories in the accessory section. They sell color-matched AC for XL's in vivid black for $49.
Or paint it yourself a nice flat black. I would not concern myself with wrecking or messing it up etc. Just do it!
Paint it yourself. \\; Clean it good, let it dry, two to three coats of any high temp black spray paint and enjoy!! \\; Its simple and cheap. \\; If you are really worried about ruining it, buy a stock one off of ebay for cheap and paint that one...
