I dropped it!
So the new mufflers arrived and by the time I came home the BF had them on and ready for me to take it out for a spin. Overjoyed by the awesome sounds and power I was turning around and didn't pay too much attention in the ground level difference and the bike went down. Thank goodness it went down on the primary side, which was protected by the bags and crash bars (just a little scratch on them). The new pipes definitely made a big difference in the bikes performance.

Engine guards and bags work to protect in a drop. That's not why I have bags, though, but that's the primary reason I have engine guards. Sorry to hear about the drop, but you learned something! Dont' worry about it too much. Just get back on and ride! Congratulations on the pipes. I'll second the question...which ones did you get?

The Sportster hasn't gone over yet, but the last bike ( VTX 1300 ) may have been saved by the engine guards a time or two forgeting about that little thing like a kickstand !! LOL !.......WVleo
