I'm averaging around 63 mpg. I ride mostly highway at 55-60 mph though.

Miles per gallon is calculated by taking miles (the number of miles you travelled since your last fueling) and dividing that by gallons (the number of gallons you used to travel that distance, or the amount of fuel you put into the tank)

Your '08 is most likely kicking on the low fuel light when you have 1.5 or more gallons remaining. The low fuel light pops on when I have 2 to 2.5 gallons remaining in my 4.5G tank.

the lowest mpg i have gotten is about 47 and the highest is 60. i have just over 600 miles

I just calculated mine today at fill-up. The speedo read 114 miles and I put 2.53 gallons in. Survey says... 45.06mpg. Not going to bitch about that. This was my first tank since getting my 1K service done.
