After worrying about it for a year, battery side cover finally fell off on a recent ride. Any good ideas to secure and anybody got an extra laying around they want to get rid of...? Note: '06 1200 low w/stock black covers...

I did the same 3 months after I got my 1200L. Why did you worry about it for a year and didn't do nothing? Too bad

Guess I'm just not any smarter than that... Thanks for the tip on the "fix how to"...
Wish I would have heeded the warning the first time I read about it. Cover fell off, chipped the paint on the corners, grrrrrr! Drilled a small hole in the clip, like was recomended, and put a ziptie in it. Peace of mind. Every now and then I check the cover and it has come loose but has NOT fallen off since. Wonderfull things zipties can be.
