Im thinking of putting new shocks on my bike, its more for appearance than performance as Im happy with the stock ones just want some all black ones, any suggestions?I dont want to raise the bike at all, also will I have to get the dealer to put em on or is it easy enough to do myself?
It's easy to replace them, go with progressives (I don't know if they have black). I just put some progressives on my 1200C, and it puts the sport in sportster. Handling is waaaaaaay better!

My Progressive 413's are all black and they're pretty cheap (about $200). Unfortunately, they're excellent shocks and they'll make the bike handle like it's supposed to. Seriously, it's a whole new bike with them.
As for changing them, you'll need a bike lift. If you have one, you'll spend an hour on it. If you don't, buy one at Sear's and you'll pay for it on this one job.
I have a thread on changing mine somewhere (I'm on the road and I don't have the link.) It's incredibly easy to do.
