I bought my wife a 2001 hugger w/2500 miles on it this spring. I was never very happy with the throttle response since we got it. My sister in law drove it the other day and now I am having problems with the bike down shifting into 1st. I heard her grinding it a few times and it even stalled and the tire locked up. She was going slow so she didn't put it down thank god!!! Also it is tough to find neutral now or I should say to get the light to come on. When I start it now it seems to run even worse than before, sputtering alot and backfiring thru the carb.
Dido on the oil level it will do it every time. The Harley manuel says to put in 32oz but it really ony takes about 28oz to make the oil ride at the proper hieght on the flywheel/clutchpack.
