After having the Indy map and tune my 1200N he stated to bring it back for the 2500 service and he would make any changes needed at no cost. I asked how much for the service and he said $300.
I checked the manual and it doesn't say anything about a 2500 mile service. Do you really need that and if so what actually takes place?
Don't pay. Save your money, buy a shop manuel and learn to work on it yourself. Its easy and fun. Don't trust some kid at the dealership who "thinks" he's a mechanic, with your Harley Davidson. I've learned the hard way, this is sound advice. Get a friend to help you. Good luck.
When I read the title of this thread, I wondered when they started having a 2,500 mile service. As far as I know, the service levels are 1,000, 5,000, 10,000 etc.

with the efi its not like the carbs it doesnt go out of wack. you wont need to do it again so you wont need to retune it. my dealer gave me free 1k 2500 and 5k services so since i personally kno the mechanics im letting them jus do it for free and change my fork oil to heavier grade i love this dealer haha great techs and sales. but yea dnt waste the 300 bux for the 2500 jus change the fluids and youd be fine.
