hey guys i just installed a dynojet pcIII on my 08 nightster i ordered it from fuelmotousa.com with a map setup for the arlenness big sucker stage one and vance and hines shortshots staggered. install went pretty well was just a pain to get all the wires to fit with my mustang seat. but after everything was on i took a quick ride and the power difference was unreal!!!! but there is a great deal of popping. i installed the supplied 02 sensor eliminators should i remove them and let it read the 02 sensors. or will the popping go away? the pipes have been on for a few hundred miles so this wasnt their first run. i just dont want this much popping but it stops the second i engage the clutch. any ideas? thanks guys

I have a PC3 installed on my 07 custom. No popping whatsoever. The O2 sensors should remain eliminated. If you pull in your clutch and give it throttle, do you still get popping?
The map provided by you by fuelmoto could be off, you may want to call them.
I had a V&H fuel Pak before the PC3 and it popped only on decel.
Richen up the map at 0% throttle from 0-3500RPM. They should be at 0 by default, change them all to +5. Viola, decel popping gone.
Not gone...but it will help slightly.
Short shots pop on decel.... period.
When my bike is cold I get quite a bit of pop on decel...but when she's warm it is manageable...but still present.
If you want the pop to go away COMPLETELY you'll have to go with longer pipes.

Yeah, I have the V&H straight shots (longer) and it eliminated the popping completely for me. You might consider doing +10-15 in the really bad spots if you have the short shots.
Personally I like a little grumble on deceleration, but before it was almost a backfire.

With my Heavy Breather and Short Shots, I am at +15 from 1250 to 1750, +25 from 2000 to 3000 and +15 from 3250 to 5500 in the 0 throttle range and the popping isnt that bad for Short Shots. I am only running +5 at 750 adn +10 at 1000, I felt anything more than that was to rich. Make sure to change both tables when you start messing with values in the 0 throttle position.
If you just running Short Shots and the PC III, you shouldn't need more than +10 across the 0 throttle in the 1250 to 5500 rpm.
yea thanks guys i know there will be some popping but i had a designed map from fuelmoto ima call them 2moro. it is too much popping for that im certain. yea with clutch engaged it doesnt pop when i give it throttle and it is very minimal if it does. like i said it was a very very short ride due to time restrictions. i will be callin fuelmoto maybe they can send me a new map or ill try your guys advice and richen it up myself. thanks for the help.
If it was a very short ride you would be getting popping FORE SURE as Mine does that until it is FULLY WARM....and then it still does it a bit but MOST of it goes away.
