I like my stock grips, but the right hand one is kinda coming apart. I had the bike detailed one day being too lazy that day to do it myself, and I think they probably put a chemical of some sort on it. The left one is ok, but I figured I'd change them both. Anybody have any plain old stock grips that they don't want anymore? I'll buy them from ya! =-)
E-bay, several take offs for sale cheap. Or, better yet, go to your local stealership and ask the service manager if they have any take-offs you can have. They usually have a few sets laying around, unless the techs have already swooped them up. Good luck
My dealer won't give them to anyone... They sell them on ebay! Double dipping I would say from anyone who buys and has new grips installed on their bike and doesn't ask for the stock ones back!
Dealers are often quick to say also that the stock clutch side grip was glued onto the bar and had to be cut off... BS but as a consumer and sometimes a sucker I have to live with that explanation..
Even if the grip is glued you can get it off if your careful with a flat screwdriver and WD-40. I was able to use my left grip when I switched handlebars and it was glued.
i have a set off an '08 1200 C you can have for 20 (obo) shipped...and the left was glued on but came off without messing it up...they might have 200 miles on them
I've got a right grip you can have. mail me 5 bucks to cover shipping, or send me a preaddressed box. I had to cut the left one off, so it's done for. pm me for my address
