some places were charging 2k over msrp on stock because it was a "new" model.

I got this same deal in March of 07 when I got my Nightster.

I'm trying to purchase a nightster myself. I've been working a few deals lately, both used & new. It seems the used ones are going for almost as much as new ones. I am trying to purchase a leftover 2008 Nightster 2-tone for about $500 under MSRP. Of course, I live in the northeast and it snowed today so hopefully the dealers will be willing to move some inventory, rather than hoard it for Spring. Will let you know if they bite.

Paid MSRP, but got $500 worth of goodies, first service free. I was happy. Ride safe.

I paid a little over MSRP out the door. Might have been $500, don't remember. If they are offering you below MSRP, I would take it.

Well being winter here and the fact that it snowed on Sunday may have something to do with the slightly-below-MSRP prices I've been getting from the dealer. The profit they make on these bikes just kill me. But I suppose they deal in a lot lower volume than cars. I'll report back once I seal a deal.

I wasn't able to negotiate price, but I was able to negotiate the interest rate down 2 points, get the first service free, and get the Riders edge course free.

The interest rate deal is really worth more then money off of the MSRP anyways, unless you can pay cash. (which I can't)
