Thanks for all of the advice. I definitely plan a custom set up in the future but for now I think this will be just fine.

I have heard about the Harley TAX. What exactly does that mean? Sorry if this is a common Newbie question but if you could just sum it up that would be cool.

Later
Harley tax- All of the money you'll spend making it how the factory should have plus all the goodies that make it yours.

Did you have to re-jet it? My freind Tyler did the same on his 1200 Low and went to drive around and it wouldn't stay cranked. Ended up taking it in to the dealer and having the a/c and re-jet done on it.
But he called our local dealer and asked a few questions like will it F' up my warranty and they gave us a "No sir, go right ahead." He asked if the bike would run ok and they said it will be ok. Ha! I guess they knew if they told him it wouldn't run ok, then he wouldn't cut them out and they might not get that money!

I didn't touch the engine or jetting after the baffles were drilled out of the stock system.

I drove the 1200C before and after the change, and if anything it performs better now that the baffles have been removed.

Runs like a raped ape at all RPM ranges. No problems at all.

I haven't experienced anything wrong with my bike and I haven't done anything to it since I took the baffle out. I plan to do the AC upgrade soon.

Id rejet if you do anything else to the pipes or breather.. They run real lean out of the shop. Too lean for my likeing.

Got both baffles out and I Rejetted it myself. Runs great. It seems to run a little better, I don't know if that is just the extra noise making it seem that way or if it is actually running different. At any rate I love the sound and I am glad that I was able to do the work myself.

I went and took the Motorcycle License test this morning and passed with flying colors. Now I don't have to worry about riding where ever I feel like riding.

Thanks for all the help and if you have any other suggestions please let me know. Keep in touch

Thanks alot. I have seen too many people become Road Kill to ride stupid. I know that it isn't always what you do wrong that counts. You really have to watch for the stupid motorists on the roads.

Thanks again

I cut the baffles out of pipes on my 04 1200C. I noticed a drop in the low end tourqe. I did a little research and decided to go with a set of screaming eagle II' slip on pipes. They were very easy to change and the sound is awsome. I wish now that I had done this on day one. Since I just changed the pipes to the slip on's I didn't have to rejet the carb. I will do that when I decide on the AC.

Right on. I have noticed an increase in throttle response and less of the carb choking since I rejetted it.

A friend of mine has a set of SE slip ons that he is willing to give me. They were on his Fat Boy. Is there any way that I can make them work on my bike?
