I wrapped my pipes, (vance and hines straight shot slip ons), so while I had the heat shields off I decided to take the baffles out and it was amazingly horrible! Without those baffles they are essentially expensive drag pipes! I loved the sound but I lost all of my "snap your neck back" throttle response! This is all with the stock ham can but I do have an ANBS to install still, so I am sure I'm running really lean. I am not riding now due to the snow but even though I love the sound I think I'm putting the baffles back in before I put on the big sucker so I can get the performance dialed in.Has anyone else who has these pipes experienced such a drop in performance just by taking the baffles out or does anyone know how to get more sound out of these without losing the crispness of the throttle?
There are alot of after market baffels that will allow for good sound and still give you some throttle... just try another set out brother and you should be golden... bct baffles are my personal favorite
