Thanks guys and gals. Just as I thought, I would find out all I could possibly want to know from the forum members. Very good info here. I'll be sticking with what I got.

Nobody has mentioned the most obvious problem... nothing screams pole
smoker as loudly as a hyper charger does. They are as ugly as a drag queen

I remember the first time I saw my friend roll up to the place I work at on his 100th anniversary Sporty 1200. Had a damn Hypercharger on it. I told him he needs to take that thing off his bike. He asked me why, so I had to explain it to him. He's a mechanic, he understood perfectly the reason the thing doesn't do anything but rob you of power. He now has a Screamin Eagle air intake kit on the bike.
