Default Questions before troublemakers

I just want to make sure I'm clear on what I need before I drop the coin on these pipes. When I see pipes that are for 04-06 sporties they are the same as 07 and later pipes except they don't have the O2 sensor bungs correct? I just want to make sure that I could buy 04-06 pipes and put them on my 08 custom as long as I buy a power commander to take care of the O2 sensor issue. I just want to make sure there isn't something crazy like a bolt in a different spot or they won't hang without the O2 bung there. Can someone correct me if I am wrong? I know it sounds stupid but the 04-06 pipes are almost $200 cheaper than the 07+ pipes.

DO IT!! They are the same except for the 02 bungs. I just put a 04-06 Python 2into1 on my bike with the power commander and it fits perfectly. Looks much cleaner as well without the o2 wires.

That's what I thought I just wanted a second opinion. I can't believe they are $200 more expensive for the 07+ models.

More money has zero to do with more quality or better yet, more performance.

I don't know why you say more money, more quality, these troublemakers are at least if not more expensive than the only set of V & H that I'm interested in. I guess the bung issue depends on the manufacturer of the pipes? I guess we've figured out that pipes that say 04-06 will fit an 08 as long as there is some sort of fuel management. Unless someone can say otherwise.....

To answer your question yes theyll fit. Like you said you have to take care of the 02 sensors with a PCIII or whatever your going with.

Secondly....They named them Troublemakers for a reason!!!! I went through 3 sets, pipes cracked and leaked. Didnt fit right on the bracket. The pipes were junk. I delt directly with Hooker and all 3 sets they sent me were garbage. All 3 leaked.

Dont get me wrong they look awesome but. I wouldnt reccomend them to anyone....Good Luck!! Let us know how you make out and take pictures!
