"it was a bit chilly, about 15, but I have ridden in those conditions many times--down to 10 or so."
Gee, thats what I call VERY CHILLY!
seriously???? 15 c or 15 f. Big difference. 15c is sweater weather, 15f is -9c, long johns and no bike weather. Lets not get into time zones. edit : caught in the old post trap again. What I said stands, cold weather, put 'er away
I never rode in snow other than on a street and dirt bike with knobby tires, but that usualy did not work out well....
One time I went to the mountans in PA with a few guys who had those 3 wheel things, and spent all day picking my bike up, they never fell over....
I must have fallen 500 times.
Guy across the street rode a bike (ducatti?) to work every day, in the cold, in the rain, for years.
I used to do the same thing when I was his age.
Now, I will drag the bike out for a short ride when its not too cold out.
I cant seem to go too long without riding.
I try and do erends on the bike also, go over and paint my sisters house, run to the store for dinner food, to get beer, etc.
After all, its fun to ride and the mpg tops any car!
I took my bike to the harley dealer today. There is no water in oil it was air bubbles from where its building up air presure in oil tank they think a vents pluged up some where. They havent see anything like that before so they might have to call harley davidson up and ask them what it could be.
K. all this talk about the BREATHER's being clogged.... What does that mean for those persons running the SE Heavy Breather?? It plugs BOTH breathers. How could that (if at all) affect oil from properly circulating in the top end, and could that cause the same issue (explode)?
I found out why i was building up pressure in my oil tank the two bolts that hold the back side of air filter have pin holes in them when i put it back on i put to much locktight on the bolts and clogged the pin holes up a $150.00 dollar mistake
