Hello,
I have a oil leak that I is makeing me frustrated.
1994 XLH1200, 50,000 miles on rebuilt top end 10,000 over rings. New oil tank all new lines all have been rechecked for hd specs and placements.
Comprestion 120, 110 that is in specs. the back oil breather blows oil out, have put a filter on it makes a mess all the bottom and back of bike,
I am thinking of putting a air gap loop in that hose, My mech and I and everyone I know has no solutions.
Any Ideas????
Thanks
Marshall
Try a longer hose that can loop up as high as possible then back down to the filter, most oil should should come out of the air on the way up and drain back down, also make sure your not running on "full" on you oil tank dipstick.
I keep the oik level almost low it is at the low level mark on dipstick, I have a steel loop made for the line that i will be trying as soon as I get a chance. Thanks again for the help
Marshall
