Been to Sturgis several times, have loved every minute of the rally. This year I rode my sporty from Texas to Sturgis, 1300 miles, fantastic trip. Never had any problems with bike or people. One hell of a good time. Only went to rally one day, rode the black hills the other 3 days there. You have to see Mt. Rushmore, CrazyHorse, Devils Tower, the Badlands, ect. Country is beautiful. Lots of history in the small surrounding towns. While I have loved the years I've been during the rally, I look forward to one day being there when the rally is not going on and I'd have the place to myself, I mean we're talking about a town of 6000 that grows to a half million during that one week. I highly recommend going to anyone who has desire to do so.

Got to agree I have ridden from Ill twice The rally is fantastic and the riding is perfect.make the run thruogh the canyon and ride the Neddles Highway. We took a helicopter ride around Crazy Horse this year unbelievable. One suggestion dont stay at one of the big name campgrounds you will not get much rest stay at one away from things but definetaly visit one of the big ones just to see
