Default RoadKing vs. RoadKing Custom shocks

After reading so much about the RK upgrade, I decided to do this.
I ended up ordering some RK Custom shocks 54565-97C - don't have them yet.

Does anyone know the difference between the RK Shock 54565-97A,
and the RK Custom Shock 54565-97C?

Thanks.

I don't know what the difference is in this case, but a change of the letter at the end of an HD part number indicates the part was revised, but still compatible with the earlier model. The change could be to improve the part or simply a change in the way the part is manufactured.

The custom shock, or "C" model, is highly customized... It is signed by Willie G. himself... The custom shocks are guaranteed to increase both NADA and Kelley Blue Book values... You will feel a much greater sense of confidence in yourself and your ability to seduce beautiful women... The C model shock will greatly enhance both ride quality and overall quality of life.

Now thats funny HDK LOL.

Dont shoot me if I'm wrong arod, but my understanding was that the people who have done this mod havent been using the stock Road King rear suspension, but rather have been installing some after market Air suspension units that were designed for the Road King

Would you prefer to be hanged instead?
Many of the air shock mods posted here were done using the stock Road King or Street Glide shocks.
