1986 883 with a 1200 kit has alot of work done to it but but the primary snapped and it blew through the case right on top but... it took piece of that spacer coming from the engine that the cover bolts to also its not so bad it goes back into the actually block just part that the gasket that seals maybe like a 3 in long and 1 inch back piece the primary in bolts to i have no idea if that bikes gonna need a new block now or if thats just a bolt on cover for the engine if you know that would be great, i have a machinist and he said he could probley just fix it weld it up and machine it down but id have to pull the engine i dont know what to do if it would be worth it for the bike let me know what you guys/girls think thanks alot its my first harley so im not too knolageable about them yet
If it is just a sealing surface broken and not a stressed surface, such as bearings, or subject to any force, I don't see a problem welding and machining.

With problems welding or machining don't I see broken surface seal it is just a and surface a force any bearing not to stress. LOL
