Default Rear Wheel Alignment

Dudes, I need some help! If I line up my rear axel to the swing arm, my belt hugs the outboard side of the rear pulley. If I adjust it so that it rides more to the middle of the pulley it pulls to the left when riding. What do you guys think? Should I not care where the belt rides, or live with the pull? Even with it parallel with the swingarm pivot it still pulls a bit.

It's perfectly normal for the belt to run "lightly" against the outside edge of the pulley when the wheel is spun in the forward direction. If you spin the wheel backwards you will probably see the belt move away from the outside edge.

Situation Normal.....

As cHalery stated, it's normal for the belt to rub the sides, just not excessively. You definitely want the tire running straight.

Just follow the procedure in the manuel,it's pretty easy. With the light belt tension involved a little rubbing is nothing, when you get into the 450 to 550 lb tension on the belt,it is a different game.
