couple weekends ago finnally got the ball and chain to hop on the back. she has never ridin and i have never ridin two up. Well it was a walk in the park everything was great. But i did notice my bike seem to ride better? it seemed to turn into twisties better and just all out felt alittle better. Is this a weight issue or did i just enjoy big ***** on my back but really i seemed alittle smoother!

Could be that the extra weight was right for your shock settings. You might need to readjust for solo. Of course you can't rule out the boob factor.

In order to answer your question accurately and completely we need to see exactly what you mean when you say 'big ***** on back'.

Your preload is probably set too stiff for your weight. Get a tape measure and see how far the bike moves down when you put your weight on it. You want about 3/4" of sag, so when you go over a dip or across an uneven expansion joint in the road, the springs can push the rear wheel down to maintain contact with the road. If the shocks are already fully extended when you hit the dip, you have to wait for gravity to pull the whole bike down before your rear tire is on the road again.

I have to agree that you probably need to turn your shock setting down when riding solo. I also agree with current set up for the ride....the boob factor/proper weight 2-Up for current shock setting. Now where's the pics of your back *****...

Yah probably shock settings, but also, I'm not gonna diss the boob factor. Since she was finally on there with you, your sense were turned up more acutely and you were really keyed up to do your best. In sports psych terms, you raised your excitation level to the optimum for the activity :-D
