Anyone running one? I want to know how good they actually are. Also, will it or will it not void out my warranty? I know a SERT won't, but it's hard to find a good tuner at the dealership. And a PCIII I can do on my own, but may void a warranty. Thundermax being self-tuning seems like a pretty damn good way to go.

 

I love my ThunderMax. I have been running it since bike was new and it works great. I dont know about the warranty didnt really care.

 

I run one my softail and love it. As for warranty, technically yes. They (HD) would have to prove that the failure was due to the ECM, otherwise the warranty would be in effect. For example, if a bearing were to fail and the engine grinds it up, did the ECM (TMax) cause this failure? If not, they HD is to honor the warranty. Since the TMax is basically runnng richer and more conservatively than the OEM it should not really be an issue, of course you could tweak the crap out of the maps and cause yourself all sorts of problems.

 

I've run a T-Max on my Ultra since the first week I owned it. Love it. I recently did a cam swap and didn't even need to change base maps, the T-Max dialed itself in very quickly and it runs like a top.
