I'm heading down to the dealer tomorrow to order my Iron!!!
So anyone got any hints as to be able to negotiate a lower price?
Last time I was there, a week ago, the sales guy said that the black Irons are 2-3 weeks out. So I'm sure if I have to "settle" for a silver one, I could probably get a few hundred knocked off because it isn't the one I want.
When I bought my N, I told them the price I wanted and they said ''we cant do that''. Long story short, they called me a week later and said, ''come pick it up''. Give them a price and hold out. If they want to make a sell, (and they do) they will break.
Irons are going to be hot sellers now that spring is here. Bike sales start to increase around this time. Harley dealers around the LA area don't negotiate too much on the Irons/nightsters. They move them. Even in this economy, my dealer has sold 4 Irons before they even hit the floor.
Like motordrum said, give them a price and hold out. If they bite, great. If not, plan B. Good luck brotha
Always start your first offer with a few things your willing to settle without, then they think they are beating you down.
At least get the first service thrown in, it's the most important service and nice not to have to fork more money over right away, a service manual would be nice too.
Do your best to NOT show them that you really, really want a bike now. Have a price in mind and stick to your guns. Don't get suckered by buying expensive add-ons. Which dealership are you going to? Anaheim?
