Default Nightster Handlebars

Quick question. I want to get new bars for my Nightster. Do I need to get bars with punched holes for internal wiring? I'm keeping the original controls.

Appreciate the help. Thanks.

PS- I've also never put bars on before, so I'm a newbie!

welcome from killadelphia..........you only need the holes if you plan on running the cables internal and your stock controls will work fine.

Just make sure the bars are indented so the wiring will fit under the clamp for the controls.

You have drag bars on yours from the way it looks in the photo, that's what I'm looking to get. Did you do the internal wiring? I'm looking at some flanders bars, there are a few options with punched holes, but I'm not sure which ones to get...

For ease of installation, look for dimpled if you run wires externally or holes to run internally.

I have Elswick Cycles Drag bars and he drills out his bars so that you can either run stock wiring or run it internally, they are also made from a lot thicker steel than what most people sell. He has great quality and customer service.
