DIY Electrical Repair

Hurricane Ridge, WA
Changing the bulb out made no difference and discovered that the wire for the tail light came out of the clips and was rubbing against the tire - which burned through the sheathing.

Me looking at the tail light wire damage. Tucked wire back into clips.
Below are some photos of the repair job.

Back on the motorcycle jack.

Tire removed.

Damaged from wire rubbing against tire.

Damage to right tail light electrical wire.

Close-up.

My amateur repair job then wrapped with electrical tape.

Tested it before re-installing.

Bent the clips in to prevent the wire from coming loose again.

Washed the rear wheel while I had it off.
Repair job took me a total of 1.5 hours - which the dealer probably would have charged me for 2 hours for a total of $185 + parts.
How do you like that S&S AC? I am debating on getting that or the Velocity stack. Really like that light too. Who makes it?
