I actually have a lot of research to do regarding mods... If you can just point me out to a few good sites, so I don't get ripped off, I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Ebay is wonderful. I've saved so much money on there, but ended up buying more parts :-)
What are you looking for: performance? or looks?
If you're looking for looks lol, keep a uniform....look. I have the entire skull series on my bike with spike accents. I don't like when bikes have flames here, skulls there, spikes here, and all different styles of accessories. Unless thats your thing.
With performance, do as much research as possible. Don't be affraid to PM someone if you want to know something about thier bike. Call companys if you have question and look at what setups people run in the forums too.
Thats a nice looking bike. Good call with the side covers... Where's the best place to purchase these things? I would think the dealer is more expensive than most places, right?
Another vote for the 'color matched' sidecovers (and the laydown tag bracket and taillight).
I'm not sure if you can get the exact color matched side covers from anywhere except HD. I checked the HD parts and accessories catalog, and they have them priced at $165 for the set.
I ordered mine from Surdykes for $138.40. Expect to wait a while after they are ordered. Could be anywhere from 6 to 8+ weeks. Ordered mine (Lava Red Sunglo) about a month ago, so hopefully they will be rolling in before long.
AWESOME Looking ! I hope you enjoy it as much as I have my 2001 883. I went with the same SE II set up you have except I have balony cut slip ons and its an awesome set up. Ive owned a lot of bikes big and small but in my opinion you now own the most fun you will ever have on two wheels.
I've been know to drop the "L" word on both my vehicles. If you're anything like me you'll get home from a long day of riding only to find yourself sitting outside staring at her parked in your driveway. Then you'll find yourself wondering if that makes you materialistic or just appreciative and thankful for what you have.
