Unhappy Bye Bye Sporty
Well since my Sportster is now considered totalled because I was hit by a drunk driver (recovering now in hospital with my left leg broken in 6 places), I will probably end up getting a Train, X-bones or a Street bob. I will never forget how much fun I had on my Sporty (6500mi to be exact) and will definetly own another one another day. The reason I wont be getting another sporty is because Im fairly tall and found myself cramped after about an hour which most of my riding is longer than one hour. I have much respect for the Sportster and it will live on in my heart forever. Thank you guys for all the info you have given me to make my sportster mine.

Atleast the drunk will help pay for the Softail with his Insurance.

Sorry to hear that! Right now you just need to get healthy and ride again no matter what you ride. keep us posted in your recovery and stop by and say hello from time to time.

+1 I rushed into the decision of the sporty when I should have looked at how much riding I was lookin to do.

Glad you came out of it ok, sorry your sporty didn't. The main thing is you can ride again one day. You may have been thinking about trading up for a little while, too bad you found the one way that hurts the most, besides the wallet that is. Get well soon.

See how much the insurance company will give the bike back to you for salvage. you may be able to sell the parts for more of a profit. Jst an idea.

PS - Night Train, X-Bones, or Street Bob?! Wide range there dude!
