Default CS's vs. SEII's

Which of these slip on's are louder? The Cycle shacks are a few dollars cheaper. Might be going with these now that Vance and Hines SS staggered are out of the picture for my 03 sporty.

I've used them both and the sound is very similar in my opinion. I have the Cycle Shack Tapereds and they MAY be a touch louder than the SE II's, but really hard for me to tell the difference between the two.

Good luck with whichever you choose - you're gettin' that Harley sound either way!

I'm looking for something other than the SEII's as well, have you looked/heard the Vance & Hines straightshot slipon's?

The cycle shacks are louder and IMO they sound better to me than the SEII's. They are not as loud, however, as some full pipe systems. They perform just as well as the SE II's.

I have 2 short videos with audio of a before and after on an '04 XL883 going from stock to CS tapered slip-ons. I've emailed to a few people on here, don't know if it helped them or would help you, but I'd be willing to send it to y'all if'n you want me to. Just send me a note at tdlars@hotmail.com.
