Default Speedo Relocation ?'s

Hey guys,

Just did the speedo relocation as shown by various members on here (great write ups), but the one thing I havent seen anyone address is the large opening in the bottom of the speedo where the harness goes into the unit. What did you guys do to seal this hole?

Thanx
Jaison

I used a gauge mount cup from Jegs. Encases the whole speedo, not big at all but still had enough room in it for my garage door opener that I wired to the horn button.

I saw it on a thread here somewhere. Very cool idea so I tried it and it works great. Some of my buddies gave me crap about it but the door I use with it is at my shop where we all ride to atleast once a day and park inside. Now they all want it.

I took my opener apart and used a test light to find the + & - on the circuit board. I soldered a couple of wires there and crimped male terminals on the other end. Plugged those two wires directly into the horn wires (I opted to remove my horn) and that's it. Goes up, goes down and I don't even need to stop, get off my bike or even let go of the bars.
