This might sound kind of stupid but check this out! Today one of the guys i work with rode his bike to work. I have never saw his bike so we went out to the parking lot so i could take a peek at it. when we got to his bike his brand new mustang seat was gone. he only had the seat for a week. He had sold the stock seat the day after replacing it. I think you might want to hold on to that seat and just store it away. I still have mine to. just my 2 cents.

Thanks, your bike is sick as well. Other than an 80cc Yamaha I had when I was about 13, this is my first bike. Last year with gas prices what they were it was my wife who actually asked if I ever thought of getting a motorcyle. When I checked out Harley-Davidson's web site and clicked on the Nightster in the Orange/Black I yelled to my wife to come into the room and said this is the bike I have to have. One stipulation she made was I had to take a riding class. The dealership threw in the class with the bike and the addiction is nonstop since.

Bought a 3/4" mounting post from Dennis Kirk and the light from American Classic Motors. Rattle canned the mounting post black. Took off the stock light and snipped the wires as close to the light as possible. Drilled out the triple tree with a close angle drill (you can get one from Harbor Frieght for around $35). Measured and marked off the center of the triple tree before drilling. It's aluminum so the drilling is not bad, try to keep the drill perpendicular as possible since the bottom of the triple tree is curved. Mounted the light loosely to the mounting post. Mounted the post to the triple tree with an allen head bolt and lock washer. Adjust, tighten down light bolts to the mounting post. Wire up in this order: green to black, white to yellow, blue to white. Those colors are the headlight wires listed first to the stock color wires listed second. That was it.

The speedo relocation was very simple. Gpsjr10 has a post from Jan. of 2009 that I followed to the letter, made the whole project very simple, even includes the part no. from Summit Racing for the bracket.
