What's this bolt for and why is it leaking oil?

Just curious, but why is the bike no longer under warranty?
I noticed that the bike is a 2008 Nightster, and the standard factory warranty is to 2 years, unlimited mileage...
Unless the bike was purchased before June 3, 2007 it still should be covered under warranty, unless I'm missing something.

Yes...unless it's not true. I remember reading that changing to the Fuel Pak will change warranty. I did the pipes, SE Air and pipes myself.

Warranty should be valid. I had V&H short shots, fuel pak, ect.. had valve cover gaskets replaced under warranty twice. fuel pak did not cause that problem and won't void warranty. Take it in, get it fixed, no worries..

All of your comments are making me smile more and more...I just really hope this works out. There are those periodic HD nightmares that appear on here from time to time. Must avoid those!

The good news is that they put new gaskets on and it is still covered under warranty.
When I rode it home, however, there was a little oil on the bolt again.
Called them up and they said they were unable to steam clean the area 'cause their steamer was down. I'm hoping it is just residule...
