Saddlebag Supports
First he drilled small holes in the bag where they lined up with the fender brace bolts.
Next he got some metal strips to strengthen the bag up where the fender brace bolts were going to go through the holes in the bag then into the fender (kinda like using them as washers but instead the metal piece was like a 2 inch tall by 10 inch wide piece that went from 1 hole to the other)
He then got slightly longer fender brace bolts and placed them through the metal pieces and through the hole in the back of the bag and then screwed them into the fender brace.
He also got two more metal strips and mounted them through the same holes in the bag but had them vertical and drilled 2 more holes in the bag. These were for stiffening up the bag and is probably not neccessary but I liked it.
All the mounting hardware was hidden from sight inside the saddlebag so it looked great.
Anyways I probably did a terrible job trying to describe it so I went ahead and tried to draw it out in paint. Now don't go laughing at my art skills.
Enjoy...
He told me to come by one weekend and he will help me mount my bags like this. Here is what mine look like now.
