Default Sprockets?

Where is a good place to buy or have made a new front sprocket. Keeping the belt drive, but want to add a couple teeth to my front sprocket. Goal is around 3k at 70. Also, how mant teeth come stock in the 1200n's front/ rear???

I purchased a 30 Tooth Transmission pulley from the local Harley dealer. I think that I read somewhere that the change of 1 tooth is about around 250 RPM or so. The Transmission pulley is cheaper to buy than the rear wheel pulley. You do not need to buy another belt, just loosen the stock one up a bit and it will fit just fine. Any change in either the rear wheel pulley or the transmission pulley will have an affect on the displayed speed on your speedometer and will require the purchase of an electronic unit to recalibrate the speedometer to display the speed that you are actually going. The units that I purchased were about $100.00 each and were from Dakota digital. It just plugged in and it works just like it is advertised to do. I have changed the transmission pulley on two different XL883 Sportsters from the stock 27 Tooth pulley to a 30 Tooth pulley and I am turning at about around 4000 RPM at about around 80 MPH. I can still pull 100 MPH with the new pulley on. I like the extra gas mileage that I get and I love the reduced vibrations at highway speeds (80 – 90). For me it was the way to go. I took one of the two XL883 Sportsters coast to coast (6,000 miles) at the end of May this year and I plan to go again next year with the same bike. Good luck with your project and ride safe.
