Better Bobber: Dyna or Sportster (Nightster)?
#21
I've seen them somewhere but I forgot where. My friend has on on his Sporty. However, the one's I've seen for the Softail where around $2,300. So, I doubt that I will be getting one. I'm not going to spend that much trying to look cool, and then end up getting my pants leg caught in the damn thing and end up crashing. How cool would I look then?

wanna know the best way to start a bobber project, deiced your going to do as much of the work you can your self. By no means am I an expert on harleys but before I got my 02 sporty I was thinking about buying one with all the work done already. but then its not your personality into the bike its the person who built it. You cant do it all but do as much as you can. dont let anyone tell you what you can do or what will look wrong, there is this guy in town at his shop if you go looking for a part and the guy thinks it looks dumb he will tell you "hey thats not right put this itll look better" but its all what you want. Just my point of view but again by no means am I an EXPERT... at harleys in fact im not an expert at anything. jack of all trades master and none

I'll be darned, I can't say I've ever seen an open primary sporty. I didn't know, with my limited knowledge it could be done...

2003 and back on a Sporty. If your just going for the look ,first bike . I just bought a 09 883L new for $7,334.00 out the door . Now Harley Davidson has a Trade up program going on till the end of August 09 > they will give you full msrp on your new sporty if with in one year you trade up to a new 96ci Model.

It can be done for a couple grand. And it's not that "open".
