I would be trailering it home, way to big a city to get my feet wet in riding. Have done some backroads riding but downtown Charlotte,NC is a whole nother monster. But I quess as soon as I get it, go have a 5k service done, replace the battery.
The bike we agreed at 5500 and the bike has a set of custom tins, orange/black two tone which I really like
It's a small picture you posted, but I don't see a custom set of tins, but again it's hard to see from the small picture. It's a decent deal though, so I'd jump on it since you dig the color combo & it's in your $ range.
The guy told me this wasnt a common sportster color and ive only seen one other in this color combo. Maybe its not but my favorite color is orange and with that black on a Harley I really get that feel of what a Harley is all about.
Thats a good deal and it wouldnt worry me a bit. Change the engine oil, primary and tranny and give her a new set of plugs. May want to consider a new battery but all in all you don't have to worry about anything....bike will come around just fine after you ride it a little....Good luck.
He's right...this is a custom Sportster color, which added close to another $700 or so to the bike. Most of them in this color also had the smooth laced wheels, which was a $400 option. Back in '05 when I got my Sportster, I looked at this color closely and wanted to buy one from a dealer who had it in stock. Only thing was the premium they were charging just for that paint was crazy. Put the bike well over $12k. It is a very nice color in person...You need to jump on this deal....You wont be sorry and you will have a rare factory custom paint job.
