THANKS GUYS!!!

i am really happy that you like the bike as much as i do.

the bike is a ´77 with ´75 paintjob (i like the ´75 optic most, but the ´77 and ´78 had the best gear box in my opinion)
it was a complete wreck and it was put together from the frame.
every part of the bike is restored or bought new.
but we tried to use just original old harley parts.
and it´s the original engine overhauled from the bottom.
but it runs so smooth like it never did before.
as i couldn´t get the original color code we used a ford orange that
i like very much. maybe the original orange was a little bit darker.
and i think i got the last original ´75 decal set on this world.
i couldn´t believe how lucky i was!

but it was not my aim to be 1000% original. i just liked the old look but i also want it the way i like it most.

so what do you think? wouldn´t a hippykiller style sporty look good next to my sporty?

hope you enjoy the pics.

My first bike was a 74 XLCH, it was blue, that really brought back memories.I was driving up the coast with a girl friend and up around Big Sir and a guy on a Sporty passed us, that and the period adds in Bike mags like the one you show is what got me into HD's.Now have a 03 SuperGlide but think of the Sporty occasionally.

Gorgeous! I love the old-style Sportys, especially the full front fender.

that is absolutely the sweetist looking ironhead I have ever seen and I've seen bunches of them. Guys, they did not look near this good coming off the showroom floor. No way. Is it a 76? I love the color. I'm thinking those aren't stock bars either.

Tell the truth now. Did your chrome tach and speedometer (top) covers fall off and bounce down the road somewhere?

Hey all you "AMF crap" bashers out there! EAT ****!
