this by chance wasnt while you were hitting the brakes was it?

check your tires for lumps. rare situation, but cant rule it out.

It wouldn't hurt to take it to some one who can check to make sure your spokes are true and the tires not out of balance.

I had front end wobble around those speeds recently. It turned out to be tire cupping. Run your hands along the tread of the front tire to feel for uneven spots.

+1 Get the wheel and spokes checked and check the tire for balance and cupping. After that would be a check of the neck bearings.

I wouldn't worry about a weight issue unless you're throwing over 350 lbs on the bike and I doubt you'll get that in saddlebags.

I had the same thing at 45 myself... Happened after hitting a bump. It was the spokes... After looking up some tutorials I went ahead and gave it a shot fixing it myself... I was able use a lift to get her off the ground, spin the front wheel, watch it spin and I could see where it was "warped" so you loosen some spokes and tighten the opposites to get it to move... Theres a definate method to it though, so you should do some research if you are going to do it yourself, but by golly I got rid of the wobbles myself... I felt ####ing amazing that I was able to do it myself... Been running for over 1000 miles now with no more problems. Worth a shot at least.

Well I originally just googled spoked motorcycle wheel truing, or something, but now I can't find what I used... I will say that I never really found anything that helpful, and in the end I just spun it and tried to grab it where I saw the problem. Marked the spot where I saw the curve. Repeated several times so that I was sure I had the right area. I saw that it was curving left in the spot, so I loosened the spokes on that side and tightened the other side... I'm sure there was some luck involved, and I don't pretend to fully understand it, but it worked for me. There was a lot of trial and error.

*once again, I am no expert and don't take anything I said as fact or even sound advice!* I'm just a poor college student who couldn't afford to take it to the shop. Just remember to make very small changes like 1/4 turns of the spokes at a time.

Since I got the drag bars installed my does it at 50 MPH and if i let go of the bars it gets wicked bad to the point you have to grab the bars and then it stops. With the old bars it did it on decel at 40MPH if you let go of the bars. My wheel and everythis is fine and from what a few dealers told me it's just how the bikes are and all HD's do it at some point. Also if your tires is a few PSI low that will make it wobble worse as well so make sure you have at lest 40 PSI.
