To me, it kind of ruins the lines. It's more of a cafe style, yet you have a "bobber" from the forks back. On top of that, it kind of looks cheap cause you just inverted the stock bars. If you're going to go with this kind of look, like it was said earlier, get some Clubman bars.

No, I already said I didn't care for the look, but if he was going to go with it, go with it, don't take the stock buckhorns and flip them. Get purpose built clubman bars or make his own. Maybe raise the headlight a bit too.
I love your bike, Slackster! Originally, it felt like the bars were inverted just a bit low, but I do like the cafe look, and love anything that will make the Sporty turn better. Riding with my husband, I noticed that I have a lot of power to take out his 2007 Thruxton, but around the turns he kicks my *** because the Sporty is top-heavy.
Of course that riding position puts a lot of strain on your wrists and arms, but it's a cool look!
