starting problem
yesterday i went to start my 1200 custom its a 2005. when i hit the started it made a clicking sound and would not start, i also had no lights or horn. i waited about 10 minutes and tried it again and it started with no problem, its the first time this ever happened to me. the bike has 1350 miles on it.any one have any idears what could be the problem if this was to happen again.....thanks,AMMO
Sounds like poor contact at the battery terminals to me. Make sure the terminals are clean on the battery and the clamps as well. Also make sure the hot and ground clamps on the battery are snugged down well.
Good luck.

If you bought the bike new in 05 and only have a few miles on it since you may not be running her long enough to keep the charge up on the bat. Small batteries like to stay at full charge. If you take a lot of short trips and then you let her sit for days pick up a battery tender to keep the charge up. The tender comes with a harness to connect to the battery and a quick connect to the charger...then you just plug it in. Of course I would also, as advised, check the terminal connections to ensure everything is snug.
