Default Windshield suggestion

Need a little help on what windshield to put on an 05 1200C. I'm moving from Alaska back to Virginia next month and will be on the interstate a good bit and the wind about knocks me off now. Any suggestions would be apprecited.

Memphis Shades 17 Inch worked very well for me on my '04 XL 883 C. I am 5'11" tall sitting on a Sundowner seat. I did have to cut the top slots in the attachment wings 1/4" deeper to allow the windshield to lay back just a little bit more. The Memphis Shade plexiglas is slightly thicker than the standard H-D offerings. ............... BC

Thanks Big Cholla. I'm 5'9" so that should work out pretty good for me.

I have the HD compact quick release and very pleased. Really like the QR feature. I think the bike looks better without it but... guess looks ain't everything. Still, hot days and short trips, I take it off.

Any of them with the quick release! I dont really like the look of bikes with windsheilds on there so the option to take them off is grand. Im going to get my windshield in the next week. ive road all of my first 3000 miles without one. Its killer i fight every mile. But dont let it stop me from riding. Enjoy your windshield.

My son put the HD Compact quick release one on his 05 1200C. A freind of his that has a bike just like his put the one that is slightly larger on his. Either one will take that wind off of you.

Personally I think it is a sin to kill a Sportster's classic looks with a windshield. (Or sadlle bags, for that matter.) But to each his own. The folks who do this should have coughed up the bucks and bought baggers.
Real men don't need no stinkin windshields!

It doesn't sound like you've been a real man for very long.
